"Blackboard", What does that term mean to you?

I am talking about Blackboard, Inc. also known to many as just Blackboard (Bb).  With each year I am in the education field and the more diverse conferences I attend, I am learning that the term "Blackboard" is being used in many different ways and sometimes leads to confusion. Why the confusion, because many of us have our own idea what the term "Blackboard" means.
